Christy’s crew has been installing vinyl plank, laminate, sheet vinyl, carpet tile, broadloom, staircases, and cove base since 2014. Glue-down or floating. We match the floor to how the space is used.
Carpet & carpet tile
Broadloom for bedrooms and living spaces. Carpet tile for offices, hallways, and multi-family. Easy to replace a square instead of a whole room.
Laminate & sheet vinyl
Budget-smart floors that still look finished. Sheet vinyl is a workhorse in kitchens, baths, and high-turnover units.
Stairs & cove base
Straight runs, landings, and wrap-around steps in carpet, vinyl plank, or laminate. Clean cove base so the job actually looks complete.
Demo & subfloor prep
We don’t skip the unglamorous part. Tear-out, leveling, moisture checks, and a smooth foundation before anything new goes down.

Owner of Barefoot Flooring & Installation, and still on the tools. Christy started as a one-woman operation in the Grand Forks area. Today she leads a team of 9+ and a 2025 showroom and warehouse for samples and job staging.
What began as a step of faith is now a trusted Red River Valley name for flooring installation. The shop treats every project like it has to last, because most of the next jobs come from the last one. Barefoot also hosts the Winter Wishlist Toy Drive & Auction for foster children and families in the community.
